오랜만에 밤에 나갔는데 날씨가 많이 추웠어요.
I went out at night, which I hadn’t done in a long time
and the weather was very cold.

오랜만에: It's been a long time
밤: night
나가다: to go out
날씨: weather
많이: much, very
춥다: to be cold
* 추워요(present) 추웠어요(past)

미술관을 지나갔어요.
I passed by the art museum.

미술관: art museum, art galley
지나가다: to pass by
* 지나가요(present) 지나갔어요(past)

친구가 먼저 와서 기다리고 있었어요.
My friend came first and was waiting.

먼저: first, earlier
오다: to come
* 와요 (present) 왔어요 (past)
와서: 와 + 서 : come and
기다리다: to wait

The concert is held at this school’s cafeteria.

We bought tickets and drinks and entered the concert place.

우리는 앉아서 공연을 기다렸어요.
We sat down and waited for the concert.

While we waited, we kept chatting.
